Women’s Studies start next week!‏

Fellowship Women’s studies launch next week, so to those of you who have already registered, please know that we and your study leaders are busily and prayerfully preparing for you. We are eagerly anticipating all that God has for each of you this year!

For those of you who have not yet selected a class, we encourage you not to miss out!  Books are on order, but we still desire to make a place for you.  If you’re like me, the routine of studying with a group of ladies helps me to dig great insights out of God’s Word that help me grow in my faith, and also helps create lasting friendships.  Please call Kathie or I if you need some assistance navigating the options.  We’d be glad to help.   Go to www.FellowshipNashville.org/women to see our complete class listing and descriptions.

See you next week!

Director of Fellowship Women

Catherine Hickem THIS SATURDAY

FROM ANNA CLAGETT:

Hello Sweet Mamas!

I know that so many of you were blessed by hearing Catherine Hickem when she was here last fall, or were disappointed to have missed her. So, I thought I’d pass along the news that she is in town doing her seminar again this Saturday!  For only $15, it would be a great refresher and a great time to bring a friend.  Please tell them you are from Fellowship when you register, since they will give us a free set of Catherine’s Bible study DVD’s if we have 15 or more in attendance from Fellowship (which we can all check out to watch at home, or maybe do together sometime!).

REMINDER! Women’s Kickoff This Friday Night

In the hustle and bustle of back to school, don’t forget to attend our exciting Women’s Kickoff this Friday night, 6:00-9:00pm in The Barn. This free event, which will feature a new musical drama, Women Who Dare to Believe, is our gift to you. Come eat, laugh, listen, and maybe even cry as you hear God’s heart for women throughout the ages and today!

Also, the childcare deadline for studies has been extended through our launch this Friday, Aug. 13th so if you haven’t registered yet, you can do so at http://www.FellowshipNashville.org/women !

Don’t Forget!

Moms,
Don’t forget to bring your kids a peanut free lunch for our extended meeting tomorrow.  Nancy Guthrie will bless us with her wisdom on Hope!  Trust me that this is something you will not want to miss!
Also, don’t forget to throw your donation items in the back of your cars tonight to bring them to our meeting in the morning.  Once we are dismissed, go get your child, bring your car around to the back barn, and we will start unloading!
C u n da morn!
Brittany

Important Info For Wednesday!

For our last meeting this Wednesday, we will be enjoying speaker Nancy Guthrie, who will be speaking on the topic of The Need for Hope. She has an amazing testimony to share.

We will be serving a light breakfast and will be blessed to stay a little longer for lunch together. The meeting will be dismissed no later than 12:45. You will need to pick up your children FIRST and then head to the back barn (behind the playground ) to drop off your items for the garage sale. You will be billed a late fee after 1:00pm if your kids are still in their classroom. Because we are having lunch with our discussion groups you will need to pack a NUT-FREE lunch and drink for your kids and they will be fed by their teachers.

Other ways to help with the Front Porch Sale…

Some of you have wondered how you can help with the upcoming sale to help support Front Porch Ministries if you have your kids with you. Here are just a few ideas:

1.)  Partner with another mom that can go at the same time as you.  Work within 30 min. shift swapping watching the kids and helping with the sale.
2.)  Find moms of the community that have kids the same age as yours.  Introduce yourself to her, introduce your kids and watch hers and your kids while she shops.
3.)  Bring your outside play toys.  Gather your kids and the community kids for a game of soccer, football, frisbee, etc.
4.)  Bring a blanket with a tent for shade.  Set your baby on the blanket and a mom’s from the community. Watch and play with them both while she shops.
5.)  For an older child, help them introduce themselves to other kids, have your kid take them to the toy section and help them pick out a toy or several toys to take home.
6.)  Have your kid(s) pick out a toy out of their playroom that they want to donate.  Talk about the importance.  Then the day of, instruct them to find a child that they want to give the toy to.  Have them give the toy and a hug!
7.)  Collect all the plastic bags from your house (or the ones there) and have your two year old help pass them out to the shoppers.

We will also have a sort on Friday, May 14th from 10:00am – 12:00pm where child care is provided.

Do you have any other ideas for ways to include your kids? Please share them below!

I took my kids to Goodwill – they thought it was Christmas!

Dear Moms,
I took my kids to Goodwill to do some toy shopping and I couldn’t stop laughing!
Their joy and excitement rivaled the level of Christmas morning.  My youngest son got so excited that he tinkled in his diaper (literally, I was holding him and I felt the warm of the diaper on my hip!).  My oldest was running around touching everything, but it was o.k…..what could we possible break?!
Do you know they have a $1 grab bag section – fill up the bag with as much as you can (toys, toys, and MORE toys) and you get everything in the bag for $1!  The fun part for me was that not only did we exit with some fun and new (to us) outside play toys, but I got some towels, dishes, and swim suits to donate to the Garage Sale for all under $10!!!!!
I can’t wait to see all your stuff and what God is blessing a new home with!  See you and your stuff on May 12th!

Coupon Shopping

Mommy, I hope you got to take advantage of some of the Tax Day Freebies or discounts that several companies offered last week!
If you don’t know them already check out Kelly Hancock’s website (http://faithfulprovisions.com) or Sami Cone’s website (http://samicone.com) to learn more about couponing, other Freebies, and how to be inspired to save for your family and others.
It is our prayer over the next few weeks that you will use all the deals, coupons, and money saving tips you can come across to bring items to donate during our May 12th meeting for our FREE Garage Sale with Front Porch Ministry for the East Nashville Community. Please help us make this sale a success for everyone!
Praying for you,
